We gather at 9:30 am each Sunday for prayer.  Children's and Adults' Sunday School begins at 10 am, and regular worship service is at 11 am.  Children's Church and Youth gathering is right after the praise and worship. 

 

The children  are meeting at 5:30 pm on the first and third Wednesdays for KID ZONE and YOUTH WEDNESDAY is currently meeting each Wednesday at 5:45 pm for Bible Study (6th grade and up). 

 

We have remote services at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening via Facebook.  (Sunday morning services are also presented on our Facebook page).

The Women's Ministry meets on a monthly basis for breakfast or other meal.  The theme for each meal is presented by various members and it is always fun and exciting.  April's theme is "Women of the Bible" (April 26). 

​

The Men usually  have dinners and Bible Study the second Tuesday of each month at 6 pm., but are currently taking a break.  These are usually led by Jeremy Wood or Earl McDonald. 

​

The Merry Widows Gathering is the third Wednesday of each month from 1 - 3 pm.  Melanie Graves is directing this ministry.  She started with eight women and it has grown to nearly 70!

​

"Worship in the Park" (Stearns Park in Columbus) is a time of worship and fellowship for the community from April through October.  We usually gather around 6:30 pm.  The dates in 2025 are April 30, May 28, July 23, August 27, September 24 and October 29.

Our Youth Director, Angie Carson, and Children's Director, Carole McEntire, have special events planned for the young people.  There is something for all ages from birth through high school.  On Friday, April 18 from 6-8 pm, Angie will sponsor a "Glow for Jesus" Night. (for 6th grade and up).

​

Please join us on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 6:00 pm for a special communion service to commemorate the Lord's table, and how Jesus' body was broken for us, and His blood was shed for our redemption.

​

On Sunday, April 20 at 7:00 AM, we will celebrate the Lord's resurrection with a special Sunrise Service.  The location for this will be in Columbus Baptist Church parking lot (a change from Stearns Park).  If the weather doesn't cooperate, it will be held inside the church.  Following the sunrise service, a light breakfast will be served in our fellowship hall.  Later, please join us for a special resurrection message from Pastor Timothy Fortune (11:00 AM)

 

Our Vacation Bible School will be held this year from July 27 - 30.  More information will be provided, including online registration, as the time gets nearer.

We partnered with the Polk County Sheriff's Dept. to give away over 400 backpacks stuffed with school supplies on August 3, 2024.  On the following Saturday, Donna and Jeremy W. gave away close to 400 pairs of new athletic school shoes to children in the community.  Donna had taken the time to find out exactly what each child wanted!  We will probably be doing this again this year.

When Helene came storming into the region, we became a distribution center with clothing, food and other basic items to help get the community back on its feet.  Donna and Jeremy are continuing to help those in need.​

​

Our annual VETERANS DAY LUNCHEON will take place on Tuesday, November 11.    We are so grateful for what you Veterans did for us!  This is a small token of our appreciation to you.
